What this is

A faucet for the Chaingentic testnet, chain 1002. The coin it hands out is AIERC — the native gas coin of this chain. It has no value and never will — it exists so you can pay gas while you try things. Some wallets show it with a default "ETH" label; it is AIERC.

Why you have to mine for it

Free funds with no cost attached get drained by scripts within a day. Mining in your browser for a minute or two costs a real person almost nothing and costs an automated drainer a great deal, which is the whole point.
